Leaky Gut Syndrome, a term to describe a condition of “Hyperpermeable Intestines,” means the intestinal lining has become more porous, with larger holes appearing than normal, which results in the intestines not functioning adequately. The end result to this condition is that larger, undigested food and waste products that are toxic, enter the bloodstream.

Cholesterol

Cholesterol is a waxy, fatty substance which is produced naturally by the liver but is also obtained from the diet. Dietary cholesterol is found in animal products such as meat and dairy, and is also found in some plant derived oils including; coconut, palm and cocoa oil. Cholesterol is essential for animal cellular function and plays a number of important roles in the human body, including, the production of hormones, vitamin D, bile acids and is an integral part of cell membranes. Whilst cholesterol is important, the body requires only a small amount and excess cholesterol can cause a number of health complications.

Dyslexia

Dyslexia is a specific type of learning difficulty where a person has trouble with written language, such as reading and writing. These problems often becomes most evident in early school age children, who have difficulty developing word-level reading skills and struggle with spelling. Dyslexia is estimated to affect around 5-9% of school-aged children, however some researchers suggest that its prevalence is as high as 17%. Dyslexia is not an intellectual disability and people with the condition are often very intelligent, and able to achieve well in other areas where language is less important.
