Course Outline:
Get qualified with a HLT35021 – Certificate III in Dental Assisting by taking advantage of the Career funding from QLD government where majority of your courses fees are paid for you. The course is done fully online while you work. It could be completed in 3 months but you can take as long as 1 year if you wish.
Eligibility for Career Start Funding
Career Start Eligibility for General Training Pathways
(a)
Eligible Students must meet the following criteria:
i.
be a permanent Queensland resident;
ii.
be an Australian citizen, or Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), or temporary resident with the right visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen;
iii.
not currently be enrolled in a Qualification;
iv.
not have previously completed a certificate III or higher-level Qualification within the last 10 years for a general training pathway; and
v.
not exceed a maximum of two government-funded apprenticeships/traineeships within a 10-year period.
Career Start Eligibility for Traineeship and Apprenticeship Pathways
Eligible Students must meet the following criteria:
i.
are currently employed as a Queensland apprentice or trainee (under a registered training contract) in an eligible apprenticeship or traineeship Qualification through this Program;
ii.
not currently be enrolled in a Qualification;
iii.
not be a school student; and
iv.
not exceed a maximum of two government-funded apprenticeships/traineeships within a 10-year period.
(b)
Students will be funded a maximum of two government funded apprenticeships/traineeships across the School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SATs), Career Start and Career Boost Programs. The two apprenticeships/traineeships can be undertaken in this Career Start Program.
(c)
Students can receive funding for only one apprenticeship or traineeship at a time. If two training contracts are registered at the same time, the contract with the earliest start date will qualify for funding, provided all other eligibility requirements are met. We do not enrol school based apprentices as we only enrol students who are 18 +

HLTDEN030 Assist the dental practitioner during medical emergencies in a
dental setting
HLTDEN028 Provide effective oral hygiene instruction to patients with an oral health treatment plan
Course Outcome: Each unit can also be individually completed
Students who complete this qualification can work as Dental assistants with the potential of progressing to dental practice managers.
