Advanced Certificate in Nutritional Counselling

This qualification allows you to work under the title of Nutritional Counsellor and Dietary Consultant (Nutritional Counselling) for insurance purposes.

Scope of practice

You will be able to provide dietary advice, do diet plans, coach them on their dietary decisions, provide clients with weekly/monthly consults and provide dietary guidance for intolerances, deficiencies, allergies and special diets.

What does not cover in your scope:

You cannot prescribe any prescription only supplements/medications, you cannot order blood tests (must refer them to their GP). You cannot take clients off any medications without the approval of their doctor.

Advanced Certificate in Naturopathy

This qualification allows you to work under the title of Natural Health Consultant or Naturopathic Counsellor for insurance purposes.

Scope of practice

You will be able to provide Alternative health advice, provide consultation for them to inform them of what naturopathic or alternative treatments will work for them, provide clients with weekly/monthly consults and provide dietary guidance and diet plans incorporating natural supplements.

Foundation Diploma in Natural Health

This qualification allows you to work under the title of Nutritional Therapist/Natural therapist for insurance purposes.

Scope of practice

The course is a specialist course which combines knowledge of both traditional nutrition and alternative medicine with a strong grounding of biochemisty and human biology. This puts you in the unique position to be able to consult as a nutritional therapist as well as a Natural therapist.

You will be able to provide Alternative health advice, provide consultation for them to inform them of what naturopathic or alternative treatments will work for them, provide clients with weekly/monthly consults and provide dietary guidance and diet plans incorporating natural supplements. Coach them on their dietary decisions, provide clients with weekly/monthly consults and provide dietary guidance for intolerances, deficiencies, allergies and special diets.

Certificate in Human Nutrition

This qualification allows you to work under the title of Nutrition Advisor/Nutrition Coach for insurance purposes.

Scope of practice

You can work as a Nutrition coach or advisor on an entry level. Majority of students graduating this combine this with their current skills in health and fitness and add nutrition coaching as an additional service. You can formulate diet plans and coach them with regular consults to get the best results for their health and lifestyle.

Certificate in Naturopathy

Scope of practice

You can work as a Alternative health coach or advisor on an entry level. You can advise and work as a retail assistant in health food and alternative stores, you can do one of one coaching and consulting sessions to guide people who are interested in taking the natural health alternatives for their health.

Certified Weightloss Consultant

This qualification allows you to work under the title of Weightloss Consultant/Weightloss coach for insurance purposes.

Scope of practice

You can work as a Weightloss coach, set up a weightloss consulting business and help people with their weightloss goals. You can do diet plans focussed on weightloss doing a thorough analysis of their current health and any related conditions and also taking into consideration the individual’s aims and goals. If you do the counselling or life coaching elective you can also support them in their mental health wellbeing. Depending on the elective you choose you can tailor your consults as per your interest.

Certified Food Coach

This qualification allows you to work under the title of Food Coach/Health Coach for insurance purposes.

Scope of practice

You can work as a food coach or a health coach, As a food coach you can help people with various concerns and help them make right choices. You can be their coach to help them achieve their goals by scheduling regular check ins and consults. You can also choose to be an overall health coach also taking into consideration their physical and mental well being.
