The government has announced that they are ending the VET FEE HELP scheme which is a loan scheme for Vocational courses on more than 478 courses.
Where the scheme is available it will be capped to $5000, $1000 or $15000 maximum depending on the subjects. The students will be paying a gap fee out of pocket.
This also affects students already on an approved course as the funding is going to be stopped by December 2016 and any unfinished studies will have to be paid for by the student.
Ensure you talk to your education provider what your options are to avoid being caught out. If paying out of pocket is not an option students might have to drop out of the program which would have wasted all the effort and time spent over their studies.
None of the courses at Health Courses Australia are on a VET FEE HELP scheme as we believe in keeping the prices as affordable as possible while keeping the standard of the courses and service high.
So this does not affect us in anyway.
Our students pay less in the long run as most VET FEE HELP approved courses are priced at least 50% more than a normal fee for service course.
We also notice that the completion rates are exceptionally high when a student pays for the course as that is a motivational factor for them to complete their studies.
We promise we will continue to ensure that the prices are kept at a level where everyone can afford studying while providing our students with a quality course.
See below list of courses which are out of the VET FEE HELP loan scheme for your information. If you are studying any of the below courses, contact your educational institution immediately to find out how It affects you.
